Service Description

Gold training and practice for canoe expeditions 26-30 May 2025 This 5 day course includes a final training and preparation day and the qualifying expedition. Participants must complete the required training and practice expeditions before attending this course. This opportunity will suit participants joining us either with friends they want to be in a team with, or as individuals. Wherever possible we will accommodate requests for participants to be in teams with any specified friends, subject to appropriate spaces available in teams for all participants. Participants will cook for themselves and camp for the 4 nights. What's included: Campsite fees Canoe equipment (boats, buoyancy aids, helmets, paddles, barrels and dry bags) Group equipment (tent, stove. safety kit) A full program of training from DofE leaders and canoe coaches with experience and qualifications suited to the environment What's not included: Food for the duration of the course Personal expedition kit (sleeping bag, waterproofs etc- kit list available) If you have completed training and practice expedition with another organisation, please ask them for a record of training and practice and send this to us before the expedition (the later of when you book or once your practice is complete). You will need to complete our emergency procedures training online before attending as this is company specific; you will be given access to this when you book.
